POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19
Due to the current situation we have no alternative but to postpone the Bring it on Burgh fun run. With treatments being scaled back and surgeries delayed it will be more important than ever to raise as much money for Cancer Research UK. With that in mind, when it is safe to do so we will be setting another date for the run to go ahead later in the year. Thank you for your support and stay safe.

In summer 2018 I received a call from my Cousin to say she had been diagnosed with a rare form of Cancer; Pseudomyoma Peritonei, about a year later her former partner and father of her children died suddenly from liver cancer aged 51. That same year, my best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. I couldn't bear to see my cousin, her children and my best friend trying to deal with the aftershock of this news & with the help of 4 incredible women; Sadie, Dee, Karena and Beverly, we decided to muster the community to help create this charity run.
We are all touched by Cancer in some form; either personally, or by experiencing friends and relations enduring their cancer journey. I believe that if we reach out with love and support each other, anything is possible and that's why this event is happening. I want this to be an inclusive, community event where you can run, jog or walk 5k or just enjoy and soak up the atmosphere in the Run Village. Lets celebrate people's triumphs over Cancer and pause to take time & remember with love those that we've lost.
